Kanye West’s Final Words on Taylor Swift Before Deactivating Social Media

Kanye West’s Final Words on Taylor Swift Before Deactivating Social Media

Kanye West, now known as Ye, has once again found himself at the center of controversy involving Taylor Swift. Just before deactivating his X (formerly Twitter) account in February 2025, Ye made several remarks about Swift, reigniting their long-standing feud.

Ye’s latest comments came after Taylor Swift was seen dancing to Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us at the Grammy Awards. He took to social media to criticize Swift, claiming that her actions were an attempt to undermine Black men. In a now-deleted post, he wrote:

"IF ITS ABOUT THE CULTURE ... WHY ARE WE LETTING TAYLOR SWIFT BE SEEN ON TV SINGING A SONG ABOUT TAKING A BLACK MAN DOWN AND ACCUSING OF THINGS THAT CAN ... "

This statement quickly gained traction, sparking debates among fans and media outlets. Some viewed it as yet another baseless attack on Swift, while others saw it as Ye stirring controversy for attention.

Ye's comments did not go unnoticed. Shortly after his post, he faced widespread backlash, with many calling out his history of targeting Taylor Swift. As a result, his talent agency dropped him, and his online store was taken down due to policy violations.

Before deactivating his X account, Ye left one final message, thanking the platform's owner, Elon Musk, for allowing him to express himself. He wrote:

"It’s been very cathartic. Thank you, Elon."

The tension between Kanye West and Taylor Swift dates back to 2009 when he infamously interrupted her MTV Video Music Awards speech. Their relationship further soured in 2016 when Ye released Famous, claiming he "made that b**** famous," a lyric that Swift strongly opposed.

Ye’s latest remarks and subsequent disappearance from social media indicate that, despite years passing, the rift between him and Swift remains as deep as ever. However, with Swift’s continued success and Ye’s ongoing controversies, it seems that the public narrative is shifting in her favor.

Kanye West’s decision to deactivate his social media after making comments about Taylor Swift is yet another chapter in their infamous feud. While Ye may thrive on controversy, his latest remarks resulted in immediate consequences, showing that even in today’s digital age, unchecked words can come with a price.
